Small Block Timing Help
Here are my numbers. Can anyone comment on them being correct.
Initial timing 6 degrees
@ idle I pull 14.5 in hg
@ 700 rpm with Vac connected I'm @ 18 degrees
@ 2500 I pull 18 in hg at 38 degrees
Centrifical:
4 degrees @ 1100
15 degrees @ 1600
18 degrees @ 2400
Vacuum:
0 degrees @ 4 inhg
18 degrees @ 10 inhg

I'm not sure how to interpret your numbers , but go to corvette FAQ http://www.bokonon.net/corvettefaq/
and under the "Engine" section is Lars' white paper "How to set timing white paper"
follow that and you'll really be impressed with the difference in the performance.
