Just spent the last three hours or so changing out the valve springs. Pain in the butt with the heads on but no problems. Next step is to get the last bolt off the header. Stripped a little so not sure how to do it but I'll figure it out. I am going to try and get a torch and heat it up. Once that is done I am going to put on the Dynomax Headers and put in the camshaft. Then start putting everything back together.
On the intake, Edelbrock Performer 2101, there is only one vacum hole where the last one had two. Is there a splitter I can splice into in the vacum hose?
There are T's available but why do you need to split a vacuum line. My 74 only has one vacuum port on the manifold. The power brake line goes into the back of the carb.
Ahh, I just looked at your sig. You have a Holley. On the back of a Q Jet there is a fitting for the pipe that goes to the vacuum booster. You probably have to go with a splitter. If you look at Paragon you will find an assortment of manifold plugs for different years. I'm sure you will find one to meet your needs.
If you've stripped the bolt going into the head you could probably repair it with a helicoil kit. They cheap and from what I've heard are a good and permanent repair. Good luck.
