Default Advice on a aluminum radiator for a 69' Corvette

Recently pulled the original aluminum radiator from my 69' small block Corvette. Doesn't look like this one will be repairable although was running prior to removal. Any advice on a suitable aluminum replacement? I've seen someone is reproducing these but I'm not concerned with originality. Also have seen catalogs with the be cool aluminum radiators. Currently have a non original 350 that I'm planning on converting to a 383 to give an idea. Any recommendations are appreciated!

Hi b,
Dewitts make some very nice aluminum radiators.
Besides manufacturing a reproduction for your original they also make some replacements that might interest you since you're considering some engine work.
Regards,
Alan

Go with Dewitt's all the way. Great to deal with and top quality products. Have one in my 69 with Spal fans and a restoration radiator in my 62.

Tom, will this rad support the increased cubes of the 383 and the possibility of air conditioning? TIA

I fought overheating issues with my 79 for years and the radiator finally decided for me when it sprung a leak. DeWitt black painted aluminum looks like the original and absolutely cured the overheating.

Dead of summer 95+ degrees, A/C going, idling for extended periods, temp never goes above 190*. Much better than cheap Chinese crap for just a little bit more money.

I would suggest going with the HP series unit with the fatter (1.25") tubes. It looks identical to the photos posted already. The part number is 1149063M

Then the next level would be to add the electric fan kit to the above
4149063M

Both of these are located on the lower portion of this page
