Default Low Beam Headlights don't work

My low beams don't work unless I hit the switch to bright, and then all four of them work. I turn them to just low, and I get nothing. My brake and parking and turn signals all work, but no headlights. I need help. Thanks

Have you tested the dimmer switch?

I'd check the dimmer switch first, then I'd go to the left front headlamp and check the connector. If the wire is broke at the connector show below then you'll get the exact same experience.

I ran into the same situation when I went thru and rebuilt my headlight buckets with new adjustment screws, brackets, etc. I had removed each female connector individually from the plug and gave each a good cleaning with a wire brush. Somehow during the cleaning process, I managed to depress the middle tang on the tan wire connector on the driver side (the one referenced in Willcox's post). Caused some strange things once I got it all back together. When I figured out the issue and lightly bent the tang back into place to make solid contact with the male plug on the headlight, all problems solved.

You can easily remove the female connector from the plug to check and clean by inserting a small jeweler screwdriver (flathead) into the plug to release the retaining tab. The tab might need to be gently bent back up to properly retain the connector in the plug.
