Q-jet help, please.
I started a new thread s I was getting myself wrapped up in my underwear.
See above pic. At about 1200 rpm, I can see gas dribbling out of the thingy in the center of the "donut" in the bottom (passenger side) barrel but nothing out of the top drivers side barrel.
Also, praying a shot of carb cleaner in the bottom barrel results in a race of the engine. A shot into the top drivers side results in the engine bogging.
Sprayed cleaner all around and did not find a vacuum leak.
WOT results in a shot of fuel on both barrels
have lumpy idle. what's going on here?
this is frustrating.

There are a number of Quadrajet experts here on the Forum. One of the best is Lars. You might try PM'ing him directly, or wait until he spots the post. He'll surely have some thoughts on a direction to take.

I do think if it were mine, I'd pick up a quality rebuild kit and go through it thoroughly.

the shiny round part to the right of the choke with a screw driver slot should have a cover over it and it is missing. that tells me someone has messed with this adjustment. you need to find someone who had the gauges and know how to make the proper adjustment needed. gauges
