What tires were you running? Usually they don't allow anything other then "track" tires.... ie. no drag radials... Curious what you found to use on 15s.
I was using MT drag radials. They allow them for half mile events. The fronts were some kumho v rated ones. Not perfect but they were better than the 10 year old tire store specials I did have!

The brakes are actually great. They are Wilwood calipers and rotors. Rock solid pedal. I'm using their B10 pads which are more street performance oriented so I "might" have been a little past their intended usage. This thing is pushing 3900 lbs so it takes some work to drag it down. I wasn't hammering the brakes until I scrubbed off a little speed because that's when people seem to have trouble. It upsets the car and off you go.
Ill change to a more aggressive lining before I tackle a mile run. That one is a mile race with a half mile shutdown that folks say feels a little short too. At least there's not a lake in front of you!!

Boy that sure makes good power. Top down for the mile run Im guessing hate to see that thing blow off could cause a problem at that speed!
Did the guy next to you start off in 2nd and eat lunch before he left, sure sounds like it
