Another vote for Chevy Orange. I guess I'm old-school but believe that ALL CHEVY ENGINES SHOULD BE ORANGE. Regardless of year or make of car.

Not for yours, but the prettiest engine I ever built was an Oldsmobile engine for a V-drive boat that was Oldsmobile metallic blue with chrome covers and chrome up exhaust stacks.

Black is the best as far as heat goes.

I agree w/ some of the others who mentioned blue.

I took Robert N's suggestions: Black block and heads. Silver water pump and intake. Yellow wires. LT1 Chrome Value covers. Silver sleeves for hoses.
A few miscellanoues chrome pieces.

I can hardly wait. :)

I've used black except on my hugger orange camaro - that one just had to be body color. I also like the idea of painting everything in aluminum color :lol: keep em guessing :yesnod:

OHSIXX, that's almost what I've done. Satin (flat) black block & heads, polished alloy valve covers, natural cast alloy intake, chrome timing cover & various brackets, silver water pump & alternator, gloss black damper, pulleys & stat housing, all bolts changed to stainless with mirror polished machined heads & blue leads. Looks :cool:

You have two options: Chevy orange or the color of the body unless it is black then go with the orange. :flag
