Paint I think was red. Does the "L" indicate anything other than color? Havent figured out the interior. Thanks for the help, Ken
The Trim code 72C indicates medium red cloth interior. The exterior code 72L is the medium red paint code. L = lower.
These were plates used by all Chevrolet Divisions and the codes, U = Upper, ; M=middle and L = Lower were all used. In 1978 (see link below) the U and M were used for silver anniversary and Pace Car paint schemes. Other divisions over the years used all three when tops or coves were painted different colors.
