Default Yet Another Part ID Question

I apologize in advance for having to repeatedly ask this, but my '69 coupe came nearly completely disassembled and, while some of the parts were labeled, many were not. Dumped out one of the coffee cans of smalls and found these (pics).

Hi CU,
I don't recognize them!
Is your car an automatic?…. A/C?
Sorry!
Regards,
Alan

Does the small part seem to fit on the top of the larger part?
It looks like those 2 pieces could 'trap' a cable of some sort between them?

Hi Alan:

It's non-air, 4-speed and, while it is possible to fit the smaller part over the weld-nut on the larger part with the holes lined up, I have no idea if that's correct. The small hole in the vertical tab on the larger part looks like it could be for one end of an extension spring.

Thanks,
-Doug

Hi CU,
How about it's an accelerator cable bracket?
Fits on the back bolt/stud of the carburetor?
Regards,
Alan

Maybe here?

I believe the car was born as an L71 but came with a 4BBL when the PO purchased it so yes, that's very possible since it doesn't look anything at all like the cable bracket sold at the parts houses for 3 X 2. I'm currently mocking-up the carbs on the engine stand and can't see how or where it would fit.

Hi CU,
I was looking at the Mechanical Section of the new 70-72 TIM&JG and there it was…just like rvr said… on a Holley equipped bb.
Regards,
Alan
