Default Simple Door Panel Question!!

Does anyone know what kind of "putty" GM used to hold the water shield (the plastic piece behind the door panel) on to the door frame? My "putty" is worn out in places and the plastic doesn't want to stick well. What do you guys (and girls) use to replace yours when necessary? Thanks for the replys. :D

I use 3M strip caulk, commonly called "dum dum". It's available in black or white. Comes in a box of rope strips...each about 10 inches long. Available at your auto parts store. Chuck
