Strut rod mounting bracket
On my '72, I have non-adjustable strut rods that look like they have poly bushings; they have that camber adjustment 'system'. If I replace the rods with adjustable ones, can I still use the same mounting bracket? Thanks

Yes, the adjustable rods will probably come with a square plate with a hole in the middle that takes the place of the eccentric. It will hold the rod end in the middle of the adjustment slot.

Yes, you can use the existing bracket but I think the directions recommend you continuous weld the adjustment slotted plates that are already part of the factory bracket. I brought mine to a shop to have it done. From the factory, I think those adjustment slotted plates are only spot welded.

So, these adjustable strut rods, do they only adjust in length? Or do the ends also adjust. Hard to explain that question, but after putting on my left rebuilt trailing arm, I find I must have a longer strut rod because the one on there now not only appears to be too short, but also the end must twist to attach to the arm and allow the shock mount to insert. Looks like it will be quite a fight. So, will the ends or one end of the adjustable rod 'spin', so to speak? Thanks

On your stock strut rods, they will align easier if you raise the trailing arm about half way up, that's the position they are in with the weight on the car.

The outboard sticker on this rod will say RIGHT. This demotes the thread direction, NOT which side to install it on. The left & right threads allow the body of the rod to rotated while installed, changing the length of the strut rod for adjustment.
