I was wondering if anyone knew where i could get a set of race lights like the ones on the red #141 C3 race car , i think it is just #4 in other pictures, If you dont know what i am talking about look in a Ecklers catalog on the page with the suspension packages, it says someting like "road to race" or someting like that and it has this car and a stock looking C3 any leads would be helpfull
Dick Guldstrand sells them. They're not listed on his site anymore, but if you give him a call, he'll let you know the pricing. http://www.guldstrand.com/
I've got a set, but I'm still in the R&D process right now, building a set of "drop-ins" that style that will require no mods to the body. I've been tied up with an all Corvette car show that I've been organizing so progress is slow. The show is next weekend, then back to the garage. It just might be worth the wait. Email me if interested.

Re: Fixed Race Lights (Rolling Thunder)
Dave are you referring to a set of fixed lights with a clear bubble style lens? I saw several sets at the Bowling Green Corvette Museum on some C-5's and really wondered about having a set of these upgraded style lights for our C-3's
How about posting a picture of them? I tried your nice website and couldn't get that picture to load.
Mike - Thanks for the kind words. Those pictures were from a couple of months ago and I have done a lot of work on them since then. As a matter of fact I have thrown away two complete sets and am now working on the third and hopefully final prototype set. I have the housings built but still have a little detailing to do. The mounting plate for the bulb assemblies are complete including "bowls" that allow for swivel action adjustments. As soon as I can start back on them (probably two weeks from now), I should be able to finalize the design in a matter of days. I can tell you that these things are LIGHT. They are 100% fiberglass except for the bubble lens and the bulb adjuster assemblies.
Jim - Yes they are the bubble lens style light. Everyone here knows that I normally post pictures while I do my crazy stuff. My wife and a couple of close friends think I'm on to something with this one and have advised me to take the pictures down until I decide whether or not I want to market it. I'm not sure there is a market and I'm not sure I am up to mass producing them. Sorry for the inconvenience, but if you are interested you'll be one of the first for a sneak preview.
I would be interested in these also, i was thinking of something that is similar to the lights on the C5R, but i would like to take a look at what you've come up w/

Re: Fixed Race Lights (Anar76)
Thanks Dave, I don't blame you for that. It's kinda like that time I put the toothpaste in that little squeeze bottle and a year later........................coulda been rich.
Just a thought, I used a '94 Grand Prix headlight module to make running lights for my Jeep winch bumper. I recessed them into it. They have a module that has all of your light mounting and adjustments (even has a level built in. They use the little GM sealed beam or aftermarket H-4 and are very, very compact. The Gran Prix's are individual modules and the Camaro and others are made jointly with high and low beams.
Those covers and buckets are/ were available from Guldstrand about $500 for the set. I think I know where there are some if any of you are serious!!

Thanks alot for all your guys help they are 550 from Guldstrand  but if any one knows where their is a used set or a cheaper place i would get it from there instead. thanks JR

Re: Fixed Race Lights (Rolling Thunder)
The reason I posted that was the lights I saw in Bowling Greeen were a mix. They had one small rectangular cube like I referred too and one really small round light. I never actually figured out which was the high beam. They were sharp though!
Seems that using the smaller lights would require less heigth required for the bubble or depth of the base. :seeya JIM
i have an eckler's catalog in my hands and i can't find the picture you guys are referring to. i'm interested in seeing what you guys are talking about. if anybody has a link or picture, please post.
