The number on your carb (7042210) comes back as a 1972 Chevrolet Truck C/K/P 10 Series carb used on trucks with automatic transmissions.
As far as being rebuildable? You really need to tear the carb down on the bench and inspect the components to answer that. Most are rebuildable, but the amount you spend will vary given the level of rebuild/resto you desire, and the amount of parts that need to be replaced.
I haven't bought the carb yet....I'm really looking for an unmolested carb to rebuild and have on the shelf just in case I have issues with the one on my car now....It's a commercial rebuilt unit but runs OK.

The carb is certainly rebuildable. On the good side, it's not a commercially rebuilt carb, and other than missing the secondary airvalve rod, it appears complete and unmolested.
However, it has a significant amount of corrosion and damage to the plated surfaces, which will need to be removed. Once removed, it will expose bare, unplated surfaces which will not hold up well if you're in a humid or corrosive environment.
That said, the question would be why you would want to rebuild that one: It's a truck carb, which are a dime a dozen. I think there are a lot of better candidate carbs out there, especially if you're willing to consider a truck carb, that will require less work and which will look better once complete. There are also a lot of Nova/Camaro/Monte Carlo/Chevelle carbs out there in rebuildable condition that would be a much better match for your Vette. I'd keep looking if I were you.
Only reason was price and it's local to me.... Listed on eBay for $35 and I'm sure I could get it for $30.... But I will pass considering what you said about it.... Thank you for the advice.

That condition and price of a q-jet would make it great for practice rebuilding and or spare parts. Hey you can take it apart and reassemble it as much as you need to for comparison to a good q-jet. You never know when you need to replace a float, metering rods, acceleration pump.
Well I usually pick up q-jet cores for ten bucks but that doesn't mean $30 is ripping you off if it's similar to what you need/have and will be maintaining.
