Tried to mount the right trailing arm today, should have checked to make sure the bolt would go thru the bushing.... As it turns out, it wouldn't, after screwing around with it for an hour. First of all, the bolt is a 7/16ths, is that the correct size? Second, does the arm have to go back to vendor, or is there a smaller bolt that is approved for use? The left arm went in without a hitch, so I did not bother to check that bolt and hole on the right side..... Car's a '72 base model. Thanks
If the new left trailing arm mounted with no problem and your using the other bolt that came with the trailing arm bolt kit you likely have a slight crimp at the bushing where it was sweged into the arm. Clearance the ends of the bushing from each side with the proper sized drill bit enough to allow the bolt to go through.

The bolt will fit in either end, it gets stuck in the middle, still ok to drill? thanks for your quick response.
