Default Need Information on 1971 LT1

Just purchased a 71 LT1 Stingray. Always wanted a Vette and now have one. It doesn't have the original LT1 350 but I do have what I think are the original heads/intake/carb. Any info anyone can provide me with ID #'s and pretty much anything else would be appreciated. I'm a newbie with the Corvette and need some info and help.

Hi!

You can find some info over at http://www.71corvette.com
Please join as well.

A 71 LT1 should have heads with casting #3973487. This is the same head # as the lower horsepower engine though - just bigger valves for the LT1.

The intake should be 3959594

The carb should be list 4801 and 3989021.

Welcome and congrats!

There are several decent books (Corvette Black Book, Corvette by Numbers, etc.) that can provide the info you need.
