thinking about getting some for the rears and hanging on to the DRs for track only. they measure for instance narrowerr than 295/50/15 bfg which is a good thing.

My plan is 215-70-15 and 255-60-15
It's for street driving, no racing.

I should have bought AFR from the beginning. But I did buy from him, and he screwed me big time. And he still does with others, he is stilling taking in orders.
The worst thing is, when people is calling me a liar in this matter. It really hurts me, that some believes what he is saying, and calls me a liar. He even calls me a liar and a thief in some of his videos
No I don't have a 434
The 2 set I bought from him was for 2 sbc 383
But I did buy a SBC 427 Dart with AFR heads and intake for my 69 Coupe. (and AFR 195 for my sbc 355 for my 69 Convertible)

I would recommend 235R60-15's for the front. If you go with 255R60's in the rear, 235R70-15's for the front would keep the diameter of the tires similar.

I'm a bit surprised you don't have more options in USA, what you can get, I can get here in Denmark.
I do have to comment about this constant drone on the forum by many (and a few high performance "experts") about tires for a C3 that such and such low performance 15 inch tire for your C3 will be fine for street driving. Tires are NOT all black and round with ultra high performance tires only needed for high speed driving on a road course. This narrow application for great high performance tires is simply false and misleading for those folks not familiar with modern ultra high performance tire technology.
Switching to a modern ultra high performance 17/18 inch tire EVEN if you only do normal street driving (do not race or even spirited street driving) offers the following:
1. A superior ride (comfortable) by far than the 255/60/15 S/T rated tires. I could not believe how much the ride improved when I went to 255/45/17 ZR tires on my C3
2. Superior traction in the DRY AND WET
3. Superior braking under all conditions
4. Superior steering response and handling
5. Safety...much stronger tire carcass coupled with the benefits above
I use Cooper ultra high performance all season tires (W rated-168 MPH) on 2 DD's...1 with 200,000 miles on the motor and the other 150,000 miles on the motor on the street (normal driving) and it has little to do with just the ZR speed rating.
My Chrysler 300 is a great example of what tires can do for the car. For 9 months of the year, I run Cooper RS3-A (all season) 245/55/18 ZR's (W rated). During the winter, like now, I switch rims/tires to Michelin Winter tires (arguable the best tires out there) 235/55/18's Q rated (100 mph...soft rubber, soft sidewalls, deep tread). I have to mentally recalibrate the way that I drive the car on the street since just changing to a non performance tire completely changes the character of the car...I mean everything...Handling, steering response, wet/dry braking, dry traction, and the RIDE quality.
Tires are the most important element between the car and the road and their selection can vastly alter the drive characteristics of ANY car.
BTW-C3DK-those AFR's are the way to go (I have them on my L-82 355 as well) and I am darn glad that I used them from the start. Messing around with cheap aluminum head knock offs and other brands for the most part is a waste of time and often money...AFR's are like great ultra high performance tires, you generally get what you pay for.....

Thanks post.
It looks like I will go for Cooper, many are happy with them, so I think I will try.
I will stay on 15" I think it fits the car, and I love my PO2 :- )
Yes I'm very happy with my AFR heads, they are just a super nice quality, maybe others heads also are, I don't know. But AFR ARE !!

I put Cooper 235/60 15's on my car.
