Default Removing Heads

Hi

Trying to remove the heads on a 1970, 427 4sp.
Pass side came off easy.

However, The drivers side is giving me a lot of problems.
The exhaust manifold will not come out...
I removed the cluch piviot z bar but the exhaust manifold still will not come out?

any ideas?

I have been doing searches but what I found so far just said to remove the cluch z bar?

Thanks - trying to get heads into shop today,,,

You may have to loosen the driver side motor mount and jack the engine just enough to get the exhaust manifold to clear the steering box.

You're welcome. I had to jack up the engine to install the exhaust manifolds. When I installed the engine and transmission as a unit I left the exhaust manifolds off thinking it would give me more room.
