Default 73 heater issue

I just got a 1973 vette. It needs work. The former owner told me it has a new heater core. the heater fan turns on. coolant is going to the box. inline hose is hot the exit hose warm but no heat. I do know there are a lot of air hoses cut. Also it had AC but it was removed. there is a hole at the bottom of the heater box that blows air.

Welcome to the forum!

The fan for the heater and A/C is in the engine compartment on the passenger side of the firewall. You should be able to hear and feel the motor running, especially on high. The air is either recirculated through the box from inside or a fresh air door in the passenger fender. The air should come out of the defrost vent on the dash, the upper or lower vents in or under the dash. All of the doors are controlled but vacuum from the console panel. If the hoses are cut, you won't be able to control what goes where but you should still have air flow out of somewhere.
