850dp , found ponies!
Just got my car back from the shop, he installed the 850dp and recurved the distributor. The power is unbelieveable, now when you hit the gas the back end gets all wild, tons of fun, but my tires are not going to last!!! I think we found about 75 more hp, and now it runs to 6k plus! The four corner idle makes for good starting and it sounds very mean!! Just love those BB's and how they sound! :chevy

Id be careful how you apply the additional power if you still have the stock rearend and trans. THat is something im facing too with the additional power increase. But...'theres nothing like a BB for Torque' .

Double pumpers are :cool: ! When I switched from a 600 vac sec to a 750 dp, it felt like a new engine. :yesnod: :cheers:

We put in a new heavy duty drive shaft with new u-joints and also rebuilt the rear end. Unfortunately at the time I did not replace the stub axles\ side yokes, they are still the small block style. The half shafts are new and heavy duty and so are the u-joints. Anything else that I am missing , thanks for the help. I just can't believe the power that this rat is making, it puts a permanent smile on my face!!!

I would love to hit the track soon, but I am going to wait until we change over some of the rear end parts. I sure don't want to break anything!
