It's pretty difficult to make any sort of responsible reply without knowing the year of the car, whether or not it's the original type radio, and if the radio shielding is on the engine.

it could be ignition or charging system related. You have provided no information in your profile or post what year, what engine, any modifications, shielding missing etc.
If it's a whistle or whining that goes up and down in frequency when revving the engine then it's alternator noise. You need a noise filter (capacitor) on your power line to the radio. A ticking noise is ignition noise from the distributor/plug wires.
