Hi r,
On some cars there is a screw on the side of each wiper arm that controls the angle and sweep of the blade and can be adjusted to keep the blade off the a-pillar trim.
Regards,
Alan

Thanks Alan, my wipers on my 81 were doing that too. I'll look for the adjustment.

Hi Pb,
I believe the red arrows in the photo are pointing at a fitting at the wiper transmission on which there is no adjustment. Those are rivet heads.
The adjustment for the wiper transmission linkage is at the center where the connection to the wiper motor is located.
2 bolts for each side of the linkage, and they can be adjusted individually.
Regards,
Alan

Here you can see how screw 'A' actually pivots the end of the wiper arm in it's holder.

Hi Peter,
As the Willcox drawing indicates the later arms don't have the screw to help in determining the angle of the blade's sweep.
All adjustment is done at the center connection. (see first photo in post #6)
Regards,
Alan

2 nuts for each side of the linkage.

Hi Alan,
Yes! You are correct!
Perhaps I should not post after 'happy hour'.
Thanks for clearing that up.
Regards,
Pete.
