I have a NOS 1970 1/2 GM replacement LT1 360/370 hp 11 to 1 solid lift long block engine that I will never use and am going to sell it. I would like to know what you guys think the value of it is. It is in excellent condition with no rust issues. I will ship and am open to all offers. Thanks.

Look on ebay. See what the going rate is. I saw one for $4k. Im selling a 72 LT1 later this summer to pay for my 327 L79 rebuild. I won't get the money yours is worth but I'm interested to know what you get.
Its worth a few dollars for the correct buyer. Someone who wants a period correct motor this is the ticket. Honestly a high compression, long duration low lift cam and heads that are 40 year old design is not a good idea for todays drivers. This motor is an old school motor. You can make more power and have a more responsive motor with a good roller cammed, good heads and pump gas friendly compression. Not putting the motor down because at the time it was a terror but by todays standards it is a so so motor.
Hi ag,
Welcome!
First post!!
An interesting question!!!
I believe the block you have will be MOST valuable to someone that has an LT-! car that doesn't have the original engine in it.
They would be interested in yours based on the casting date (which would narrow down the group of cars that the block would be appropriate for), and what if anything is stamped on the engine pad located in front of the right side head.
Posting that info may help folks give you their thoughts on value.

Alan

It could be stamped CE. I too have a '70 LT-1 CE motor. To be honest, there's really nothing special there.
I have the same CE engine from 1971 that came in a 65 Vette I bought in 2005, it has been setting since than. I used the valve train in my 327 350hp build up and still have the long block.
It's worth what the parts will bring, at the end of the day it's a 350 4-bolt main engine that will need to be gone through given its age.
