Jim's a big guy. I wonder what the car would do with a little skinny guy driving it? Regardless, low 9s with a 3.07 rear on pump gas is pretty awesome, especially a car set up for high speed top end and cross country duty.

Thanks guys. I'd have "buffed up" if I had known I was going to be on camera!!
Yep...big 'ole boy. Adding power is more fun than dieting!
They came by at first while I was under the car making clutch adjustments. We spoke...but all I could see was feet. Later they came back and we did the interview. Fun stuff....no idea what he was going to ask or talk about....just turn camera on and start talking!!
Glad they got the video of the 'good run".
Got a call today...my rollbar guy got the new one made and I can pick it up this weekend. Ready for the TX Mile!!

It's only turning 5600 RPM at 153 MPH. Gearing is a little funky. Definitely a compromise car...doesn't do anything perfect...but does a lot of stuff pretty darn good!

Love that car! Real nice driving too-rowing to low 9's is not usual or easy, damn nice job.
8's for sure-very impressive.

Only bad thing is, you will need a new vanity plate, RUNS 8s! Would you change much if the car was only used for 1/2 mile and mile events, or only drag racing, or only road use? How do you think it would perform in autocross/slalom type competition?
