1981 power seat motor
Well, I have been looking and looking and I think I may know the answer to this question already but I figured if anyone would know for sure, it would be you guys here on the forum. Is there ANYWHERE that has seat motors for the 1981 power seats or another seat motor that would work?

Some suggestions:
- Pull the motor and take it to an electric motor rebuilder
- There are a few car strippers / parters who sell used parts.
- there are a few big companies who sell the entire frame rebuilt with "rebuilt" motors.
I had the motors on a 66 Wildcat rebuilt a few years ago by a local electric motor rebuilder - the price was not that bad.
Hope you find what you need.

It has been long time since I ahve ha done out...so if you can post a really good photo of the tack assembly...maybe I can check into it and see if a newer seat motor assembly would work.
BUT...honestly...what 'BLUE1972' suggested is really good advice.

Davies Corvette has a rebuilding service for the '81 seat track motors. I sent mine in and bought a new switch from them also. As good as new.

Cost me $55 for the rebuild of the motors. There are 2 on the Wildcat due to the size of the seat (couch) ...
