I am replacing the courtesy light door plungers on my 73. The parts are in but how on earth do they plug into the wiring? The wiring was completely detached from the old ones and now just a small black wire and white wire remain. I do not see any connection points on the new plungers. Is there a special connector that I am missing?
Hi p,
The switches have a very odd little connector.
It's a tiny copper (?) 'prong' that is crimped on to the end of wire and then inserted in a tiny slot in the switch's nylon body. Generally one or two per switch.
Some of the vendors sell these prongs… they come in a 'strip' of six.
Regards,
Alan
