Aluminum Intake -Big block Hood Clearance Question
I know this subject has been beat to death but I found a Weiand Street Warrior intake that no one here has discussed yet. I have the LT1/BB hood on my 72' and am wondering if you guys think this may work. Their website lists it as a LOW rise dual plane that fits both Holley and Rochester carbs. It has a height of 4.25" front and 5.42" rear,which is lower than their Stealth model. I want to use it with my Quadrajet,anybody have an opinion-I can't seem to find specs on factory steel or LS6 aluminum intake to compare it to. I don't think it will fit. See the post in this thread with a home made measurement. I had the 569 on my car with the stock BB hood and that intake was very low!

Looks like about an inch difference from the 569,maybe with a dropped filter? I wonder of a Holley carb is taller or shorter than my Rochester.
