Holley Carburetor Stalls
I am having problems with my rebuilt Holley 4555 carburetor on my 1970 LT-1. The carburetor works fine on cold start up and idles fine at 800 to 900 RPMs in the garage for 15 to 20 minutes during the warm up.
When I drive the car on the highway at speeds of 65 to 70 MPH and come to a stop the RPMs fall off and the car stalls out. I did not have this problem before the carburetor was rebuilt.
Has anyone else had the problem?

Melting Slicks
Next time it happens, shut the car off, remove the top of the air cleaner and operate the throttle linkage. Look down the throat of the carb to see if there is a shot of fuel from the accelerator pump when you operate the throttle. If not, it's a fuel delivery problem - pump, filter, etc.

have you checked the float levels since it was rebuilt?
