1968 Convertible Weatherstripping
The general consensus is that the weatherstrip made by Corvette Rubber Company (CRC) is the best that's available.
It's available from various vendors, including Willcox.
Yes, weather strip adhesive is required.
It takes some patience to do, but folks that want to do it can do it.
Good Luck!

Alan

This is a project you can do yourself. But it's not easy and it takes a ton of patience. If you look at your top around the windows, you can see that the weatherstrip is in different sections. Two across the top and one down the back. These are hinged so the top can fold. Each one of those sections of WS is rubber molded over metal and held on by many small Phillips head screws and nuts, and just a little bead of WS adhesive. You can reach up inside the edges to see and feel all the nuts with small washers that hold them in place. Once you remove the old WS sections clean off all the residue and apply a little bead of adhesive to your new pieces. It takes patience because you'll need to move the sections front to back or up and down to get them to align properly. If your screws are rusted the vendors all sell the screw kits. You'll also have one small piece at the bottom corner of the top right above the door handles on both sides. This is held on with one screw. This is a tough one to get right so your door doesn't hit it when opening and closing. These pieces are usually either removed/ missing or bent up out of the way to clear the top edge of the door. There is also the front piece of WS that goes along the front edge and of course the rear bow piece. The rear bow piece is also a tough one because it is held on with a nylon cord that keeps it attached by pressing the WS down in a groove. I didn't replace this one on my top, it was still in good condition thank god. As I said this is not easy, but it is doable.
I bought my kit from VettePartsPlus in GA. It was made by CRC.
Hope this helps,
Tooch
PS- "It still leaks, if I dare get caught in the rain!"
