Default No power

I got in a hurry this morning and wanted to change out the distributor cap and rotor before heading out for the week so I could come next weekend and hopefully enjoy the car for the next following weekend.
i didn't disconnect the battery (as I should have done prior ).
Got the new distributor put on, everything is connected properly and I have no power at all.
I changed out the circuit breaker and still have nothing.
Any suggestions of what I did wrong besides the obvious and what to do to correct the problem?
It's a 1979 C-3 L-82.
Thank you

Look around near the distributor and see if you knocked this connection loose.

Unless you did this job with the ignition on then it's most likely a coincidence. Do your gauges still get power? If not then i would check the fusible links by the starter. If they do then you need to check for a fault between the fuse panel at the distributor, possibly at the firewall bulkhead connector.

I checked the starter to make sure all connections were snug, which they appeared to be, when I came out from under the car, noticed my hood light was on. Turned the ignition to start the car and she started up.
i guess I'll have to checking the starter connections again next weekend.
Thanks for the suggestion !
