I am considering removing the stock non functional ac compressor on my '75 coupe.
I have a local shop that can evacuate the system but would prefer to remove the compressor myself and save.
Any good links on how to remove safely after it's evacuated?
if your A/C is non-functional it's probably already empty unless the compressor is just siezed, then it might (slim chance) have some freon in it.
Depress the shrader valve mounted closest to the compressor to see how much pressure is present. If there is plenty of pressure you'll know and some compressor oil may come out as well.
