Default testing clock

Can someone please tell me how to test this clock, out of the car? I presume that I can do it with just a 12 volt battery, but where do I hook up the only blade on the back? Thanks, want to do what I can before I go to the trouble of putting it all back together and then installing in the '72. Thanks. HAPPY EASTER!

The 'blade' connects to 12 volts positive.
Connect your ground to the case.

Many times the contacts need to be cleaned up.
Scroll down the link to the green arrows and clean the points with a flex stone file.

12 volts to the blade & ground to the case might work, but I may be wrong. Good luck.

Peace,,,, moosie
