very common C3 problem, gas pedal bar gets bent from being stomped.
that was someone solution, maybe not the best way.

if you simple install correctly, so that the pedal reaches floor and end of cable(wide open)
at the same time. you should no longer have the issue of bending the pedal rod, you won't be pushing the pedal rod, beyond the cable maximum limit.
