Default Mystery switch

I see where there is a mysterious switch is mounted on the Wiper Door Actuator housing in my 72. Might this be the hood ajar switch and if so where under dash does the "white wire" connect? (Brown wire protuding out of harness maybe?
Thanks in advance
Dougtov

Post a pic. I think you're looking at the theft alarm hood switch.

Wow, what a nice looking compartment! Yes, that's the switch. I believe you are all correct in that the switch is the alarm trigger. I found the female end that is in the rear wire harness and plugs in under dash. The white wire goes to the relay in jack compartment behind pass seat. Thanks for jumping in on this. BTW, Alan, got anymore photos of your C3?
I have to know the level of restoration to achieve!!

Oh does Alan have photos! They will show everything except dirt.
Good luck trying to get to his level of restoration.

No way, it wouldn't have looked that good when it was new.

Hi D,
No… but if someone pushes the "Too Nice" button a little, Corvettes can be quite pretty looking.
