Looking for some advice or information on why after the car heats up I have this noticeable thumping sound when I turn left or right at any rate of speed greater then a crawl.
I first noticed this after buying the car and driving it home.
Since I have very limited and virtually no knowledge of what it might be I had a friend drive it. He indicated it might be limited slip issue. I checked the fluid level and everything appears to be full. Also, trying to educate myself I watch this video
I would suspect the posi oil additive has broken down. Change the differential oil and also use the additive. I use the product right from a chevy dealership. After you're done find an empty parking lot and do some figure eights, this should cure your problem. Had same situation with my 69 auto when I first got it. T
