Jerking/bucking on initial acceleration
Manual brakes
Vacuum system functional
Stock carb rebuilt
TCS solenoid functional
Original coil
Original distributor with Breakerless SE ignition
Fuel filter new
Fuel lines/tank new
I thought I forgot how to drive, but it's done it the last couple times I've driven it.
I'll start it, let it idle, tap the accelerator and bring the idle down to 800 rpm.
Leave the driveway, go about 500 feet, stop, turn and if I floor it it will buck and jerk like it would if I repeatedly tap the accelerator in first gear.
I stop, sit a few seconds, put it in gear and floor it and it's perfect the rest of the drive.
It's possible it's progressed from not a strong response, to mild bucking, to more severe bucking the last three times I've driven it. But it's just the first time I floor it.
Something stuck or catching?
