LT1 Head Bolt Sequence?
Looking for an answer in a hurry and nobody over in the C4 section seemed to answer:
Anyone have the sequence for tightening the head bolts on an LT1 ('90s model)? I'm trying to get my heads on tonight and can't remember the pattern.

Start in the center (inside) and then work your way around in a circular pattern. Torque them in about 20lb increments up to 70lbs.
Don't forget the sealer on the bolts, or it will definately leak. Don't ask me how I know! :D
If you want more specifics, I'll pull out the manual and fax you a copy of the page later. I have a 93LT1 in my 34 Ford Project Car.

Thanks for the info. How heavy are you supposed to apply the sealer? I used ARP bolt sealer and put a good sized bead down each thread - sound OK?
