I am working on my 81 (not stock engine) and began having fuel problems. Traced it back to the fuel filter and found it was clogged. It has a washable stainless element but I would like to replace the element once it filters out most of the trash that is coming from the tank. Searched the web and cannot find replacement elements. Does anyone know where I can these elements.
Have you called K&N?
On a side note, I'd think that having a 5/16 line or that restriction, would cut the available fuel flow.
The filter I have actually has threaded fittings. I'm not positive what size but it is larger than the one in the pic. I figure if someone knows were to get one Pleated disk filter they will have all sizes. I have emailed K&N but haven't heard back from them yet, hopefully soon.
Think I finally found it. Made by Golan products PN:65-101P available from amazon.
I've just got to measure my element and make sure they are the same size.
