Default New steel leaf spring and bolt length

Had an easy ride 180 lb spring with 8" bolts in the car and no issues. swapping back to the factory steel type spring, will the 8" bolts be required now over the factory 6" due to stiffness of new spring? I have both sets of bolts, just trying to save myself some grief here before i get it all back together, i know the 8" will offer more adjustment to lower the car.

Of course, it depends on how true to factory specs is the spring in question whether the 6" bolts would put rear ride height where you wish. So, assuming your 8" bolts have sufficient threads I'd stick with them for the adjustability, tho I'd install some new lock-nuts. You can always cut off any excess. My $.02

Yes i agree. I have lock nuts on them now. So will stick with the 8" Springs are never bang on when it comes to rate, its steel, hard to duplicate that
