Marvel Mystery Oil?
I think I saw on here some time back some mention of using the Mystery Oil to soak bare metal parts. It's supposed to take a couple weeks of soaking and the metal will turn to a dark color and give it rust protection? If not... can anybody make any recommendations that are similar to this? I've blasted some small parts and don't want to paint them if I can find something to keep them from rusting.

Marvel Mystery Oil was never intended for that purpose. But I am sure it would do a fine job. It is an upper cylinder lube and many swear by it for that purpose.
