Is my trans going out???
Today I was shifting from 1st-2nd at 5600 (or near that) and I clicked it into 2nd, but it didn't shift crisply, it went out of gear and kinda went "wa wa wa wawa wa" ..about 1-2 seconds and then 2nd hit (real weak). But at lower rpms like, 3500-4500 and it shifts REAL hard and barks the tires and jolts the car. But at higher rpms it's a REAL slug...
WTF??? Is the trans going out??

Before you do anythig drastic,make sure it is not OVERFULL. At higher speeds, the fluid can foam. Fluid expands quite a bit so check it warm, in neutral. Another thing to check is the filter INSALLATION. .They can look fine but not be seated fully. This will cause them to suck air also. (Your problem does sound like airation) Take the filter off and make sure there are not two seals in the hole. (or one in the valve body and one on the filter) This is Common. When the old filter is removed, the seal sticks in the valve body and there another seal is on the new filter = two seals..... It happens!!
