removing gearboxlinkage:from top or bottom?
i need to drop the gearbox.as i have read in previous posts,i need to disconnect the linkage for the shifter first.i removed everything from the top,but the shifter itself doesn't come out.do i need to remove it frm the bottom?

You first need to remove the shifter bolts from the mount. Then remove the the shifter mount from the bottom. Then remove the lever arms from the side of the trans and pull the shifter up through the top.
