Confused
The negative power wire burnt through the insulation and part of the wiring on the manifold. Both battery cables and the battery were quite hot to touch. My truck, a1971 chev c10 stopped running and I had no power, not even headlights. My question is what possible complications might this situation have caused? Not sure where to start.

1. Why are posting a Chevy C10 truck question on a Corvette site?
2. The negative wire being exposed, unless broken, will not cause your problem.
3. You may have burnt out a fusible link near the starter if the positive battery cable grounded.
