Dana 44 gears
i have a 1981 corvette with a cam and some head work with Holley 650 what is the best gear set up for me I have a 350 engine and th350 tranny I will be driving on the highway a lot Iam think 3.54 or 3.92 and what the good spider gear and bearings to put back in thanks guys

I just swapped out 3.08 for a set of 3.54. best move ever, the car accelerates way better, and is a lot more enjoyable to drive. With a 295/50/15 on the rear, 65 mph is 3100 RPM 100 mph is 4400 Rpm. i have a 350 hp 350 sbc with 390 TQ. Car will top out at 5800 which is 134 mph.

I went with the 3:54s in my '81. The rpms were too high on the freeways and toll roads using a th350 transmission. I could drive comfortably at about 60mph without the motor revving too much. But I wanted to drive faster than that for an extended period of time.
The solution was a TH200 4R overdrive transmission to be used with the 3:54 rear end ratio.
