I want to sat 1350 for halfshafts and 1310(?) for driveshaft...someone will chime on the correct answer shortly. I just ordered the Spicer 1350's for my 1975 halfshafts.

3 sizes: 1310,1330 and 1350. State the year you are looking for and someone will help narrow the choices for you.

Gene.

Its simple.. AT and Mt used two different U-joints on the 1980-1981 cars...

You have an 82 (I looked at your profile )

So.. the 82 cars all used the same 1/2 shaft u-joint.. https://willcoxcorvette.com/corvette...-u-joint-63-90

And they also used the same drive shaft u-joint at or manual.. 80 and 81 were the odd ***** here... (I just crossed this bridge in my shop)

Halfshaft 1963-1979 all 1350
Halshaft 1980-1981 automatic 1330
Halshaft 1980-1981 4 speed 1350
Halfshaft 1982 1350
Driveshaft 1963-1967 all 1310
Driveshaft 1968-1970 4 speed 1310
Driveshaft 1968-1970 auto 1330
Driveshaft 1971-1979 all 1330
Driveshaft 1980-1982 rear u-joint 1310
Driveshaft 1980-1981 4 speed front 1330
Driveshaft 1980-1981 auto front 1310
Driveshaft 1982 front 1310

This should make it a lot easier since no one mentions the actual u-joint series.

By all means, support Ernie, but if you get stuck in the future, here are some alternatives...

Also listed in the 82 "sticky"...under PART #'s, for our 82's...

U-Joint(s) HALFSHAFT(S)
...MOOG (made in USA) non-greasable solids part #231....Halfshaft.... 1 3/16" (1.188") cap size......3 5/8" (3.625") length
...Spicer part #5-1350X.....Halfshaft non-greasable....1 3/16" (1.188") cap size......3 5/8" (3.625") length

U-Joint(s) DRIVESHAFT
...MOOG (made in USA) non-greasable solids part #254....Driveshaft... 1 1/16" (1.062") cap size..3 5/16" (3.312") length
...Spicer part #5-1310X non-greasable 1 1/16" (1.062") cap size......(3.219") length
Although there is a slight difference with the Length of the MOOG & Spicer Driveshaft joints.....3.312" compared to 3.219" a difference of 0.093", I would imagine that would not be a problem using either joint
...NAPA part# PUJ 354 (w/ 1 1/16" cap size)
...AUTOZONE DURALAST part# 1-0153DG to use in an emergency as these are 1/32" shorter in length, but same cap diameter, and made in China
...MasterPro part #380. greaseable

Bringing up an old thread I see. It's time for me to replace my U-joints. I am looking at the MOOG #231, however some reviews on the forum are saying they won't fit.
So.. what do I do.?

So would the MOOG231 be for a big block shafts or small blocks? I'll be working on a 74 small block.
