HELP TO ID THE THIS MUNCIE!
1. Number stamping: "P0A29A", P=Muncie, 0=1970, A=Jan, 29=29th, A=M20. So, it's a M20, 70's.
2. Here is the puzzle. The partial VIN # stamped on the case: "20N103639". This tells me it's not the Vette's VIN #! :nonod:
3. Additionally, the tran came with the bell housing; and it's painted with light gold color.
Any one could tell me if it's out of Camaro, Chevelle or Pontiac?
Thanks in advance.

The partial VIN confirms a 1970 unit (the 0 second digit).
But it also confirms the build plant as Norwood (the N).
That's no where near St. Louis!
I'm not sure what cars where built in Norwood though.
The transmission shows a "2" at the beginning of the VIN derivative sequence which is the code for Pontiac and an "N" for the assembly plant which is Norwood, OH. The only cars that I'm aware of that were coming out of Norwood in 1970 were Camaros and Firebirds.
Regards,
but if you want a second opinion on whether it's a Firebird you might try getting SWC Duke's opinion - He might remember that particular transmission! MJ
