Ignition shield/ HEI
Buddy of mine has a 73 Coupe with a NOM 350/auto with a turbo hood that is having water/rain issues on his distributor. He was wondering if the original distributor cover/ignition shielding will fit over an hei distributor or if there is a supplier that sells a cover that fits over an hei? TIA

If he has a stock distributor, the stock 73 radio shielding distributor can may help keep water off the distributor. The 76 shield will cover GM HEI.

73 was still points ignition small dist., they make original size chrome Dist. covering for that. 73 and older.
I believe in 74 they started HEI ignition so any year after 74 chrome shielding will fit HEI.
however these covers were designed for EMI shielding, chrome and water do not make good friends,
find the water source and redirect, i would bet he is missing the hood rubber seal.
