Default Good ground?

I say this is not a good ground... in addition to being way too small, what about the location? It's for hvac fan.... it's grounded to the wiper door actuator

I think it's supposed to be grounded to the starter....Make sure it's the ground side and not the hot.

On my 68, that has factory AC, there is a ground wire attached to one of the mounting screws for the relay and a ground wire that attaches to a screw on the fan motor housing. You didn't say what year you have, but if it's the 72 in your avatar, it probably should be wired similar to mine.

Hi k,
Here's the typical ground connection at one of the starter motor mounting bolts.
It's a NON a/c car.
Regards,
Alan

The ground wire comes out of the engine harness.

Grounding to the wiper door actuator car is a 'wish', at best. Better to attach it directly to the engine block...somewhere. The 'correct' location for that ground is shown in the prior post (starter mounting bolt).

Thanks for all the responses, the po had it like that and now I can correctly ground my 12 gauge wire. I saw that ground on the AC mounting bracket, I like it, I'm going for it for right now. Have a great day!
