It's certainly not stock... it may be a kill switch but I don't know why there would be two? I like the ejection seat idea

Hi EC34me,
Perhaps trying to follow the wiring, (if it's there), might lead you to whatever was added and is controlled by the switches?
???
Regards,
Alan

My money is on some sort of kill switches. Since you didn't really notice them for a while, just imagine someone trying to steal the car.

Would be funny though if they don't do jack. Like the PO installed them just to confuse the heck out of someone down the road.

I have a number of boxes that came with the car. In them are amps that were removed in 2004 when the car had a frame on resto and new al knock interior. My guess since they are not oem is former stereo equipment. I will investigate further. Thank you all.

Hi EC34me,
It appears the wheel house carpet has been cut in an unusual way and the retractor cover isn't attached to the quarter trim piece quite normally either.
That 'might' also be because of some equipment that was back there at some time.
Regards,
Alan

Alan that is the way it is mounted. It appears your photo is behind the drivers side?

Hi E,
In your photo I can see part of the quarter trim is 'bent', the cover for the retractor isn't attached to the quarter trim in the typical fashion.
Regards,
Alan

Either the quarter trim is slid forward a little, or the retractor cover is slid toward the rear of the car a little.
Note the difference.
