Is it okay to mount temp sender in water outlet?
I'm trying to do the last minute stuff before firing this puppy for the first time.
My water temp sender does not fit the Vortec Heads. But it screws in nicely to the manifold water outlet.
Do you think this is an okay place to put it? Will the readings be too cold/inaccurate?
Thanks!

No problem at all to install it at the intake water passage. You'll see a slightly differnet temp there then in the head, slightly lower. Keep wrenching sounds like your just about done.

Most modern heads have the smaller hole, I've installed my old sensor in the intake manifold of my ZZ-4, I'm also going to install an aftermarket gauge in the head port, that way I can compare the temps.
