Upgrading to 140 amp alternator any thoughts?

200 amp fuse? Seems overkill. Why not just replace the existing wire?

I am adding electric fan and want a safe spot to add a fuse protected circuit for it and other possible upgrades. The 200 amp fuse is what they offer in this kit for 140 to 190 amp alternators.
